03well_flourishing-quiz-superJumbo-v6.jp

Are you flourishing? Take the quiz via NYT to find out!

May 5, 2021

How do you know if you’re languishing, flourishing or somewhere in between? The first step toward better overall well-being is to think about how you’re doing in different parts of your life. At Harvard’s Human Flourishing Program, Tyler J. VanderWeele uses this quiz to gauge a person’s overall physical, mental and emotional well-being. While he says there’s no specific score to determine if someone is definitely flourishing, the higher the score, the better. Just taking the quiz, and reflecting on the questions, can put you on a path to making positive changes. And comparing yourself to the national average — it was about 70 before the pandemic and 65 in June 2020 — can give you a sense of where you stand.

In a nutshell, the Enneagram personality model places people into one of nine personality types. If you've ever overheard a weird conversation like, “You’re a Type 1? Unlocking Us Podcast with Brene Brown

October 6, 2020

Brene Brown has spent over 20 years studying the emotions and experiences that bring meaning and purpose to our lives, and if there’s one thing she's learned it’s this: We are hardwired for connection, and connecting requires courage, vulnerability, and conversation. This is a podcast that’s real, unpolished, honest, and reflects both the magic and the messiness of what it means to be human. Brene says: episodes will include conversations with the people who are teaching me, challenging me, confusing me, or maybe even ticking me off a little. She also has direct conversations with you about what she's learning from new research, and there are some episodes dedicated to answering listener questions. We don’t have to do life alone. We were never meant to.
